As one of Canada’s oldest and most prestigious universities, Queen’s is known for its traditions.
Whether it be the O-Week tamming ceremony, Oil Thigh chants, or faculty-specific… Queen’s students spend much of their orientation week and student experience engaged in traditions from generations past.
Dating back over a century, the rivalry between the Commerce and Engineering faculties has risen as the most well-known inter-faculty rivalry. The O-Week Comm vs Eng chant off is just the start of a fun four-year feud for the many incoming students every year.
To help settle the dispute we are using students' love of sport and desire to be catalysts for positive change. So break out your GPA’s, “I like Commerce” Shirts, and cheering voices, as Tri-Colour Classic presents its Inaugural Commerce vs. Engineering Rivalry Basketball Game for Childhood Cancer Research.
